The invasive alien plant, water hyacinth, has multiplied 2 million times in 7 months and has become naturalized in tropical regions around the world. By using it as a raw material for bioethanol, we will restore the biodiversity and water quality of Tonle Sap Lake and explore the possibility of energy that does not compete with food.

“MAWSIM” means season in Arabic and is the word from which the monsoon originated. It is named after the "wind" that carried many galleons in search of spices during the Age of Discovery and delivered Dutch gin to Japan during the era of national isolation.
